friends

i was initially going to stick this as a footnote in the lulu post, but after thinking about it for a minute i realized that it deserves its own entry.

yesterday was a great feel-good day for me. two of my new girlfriends contacted me to ask me to go out with them. (one wanted to have dinner that night, and the other wanted to know if i'd be interested in seeing dolly parton with her in august.) i have been reaching out to lots of people these last few months, extending invitations and initiating social events. to have two of these gals contact me (in one day!) with invitations of their own felt really, really good.
