i'm starting to realize there are certain things here in north carolina that are going to be absolutely, positively impossible to find out west.

north carolina-style barbeque, for one. i had some for dinner last night and thought to myself, "shit! this may be one of the last times i ever eat this!" and that was a sad moment, indeed.

i'll miss locopops, too, of course. but at least portland has voodoo doughnut and saint cupcake. not exactly the same, i'll grant you, but close.
