yes, things really are going THAT well

the joshua bell phone interview went well. i wasn't nervous at all, actually, and we chatted about golf and vegas and other weird things. i think the interview will be posted on the station's website within the next week or two. i'll let you know.

after the interview, the production guy who was running the levels for me (also the same guy who got me the new divaville show at KMHD), asked if i wanted to grab some lunch. so we went to chez machin for crepes. i had a crepe with mushrooms, brie and avocado. rockin'.

last night i had another date with the boy. i think this makes 4 dates in less than 2 weeks. this is a good thing. anyway, we went out to dinner at colosso, a little tapas bar in my neighborhood that i really like. we were intending to head over to the tonic lounge afterwards to see my friend kurt play some rock & roll, but we never actually made it inside the club. we did get to have a brief chat with kurt outside on the patio, so at least he knew we were there.

tonight i'm off to KMHD to either shadow the current wednesday night DJ or be on the air myself, depending on whether she shows up this week or not. could be exciting.

my mom is coming to visit this weekend! she's flying stand-by, so i'm not sure exactly when she'll arrive, but we're hoping for a thursday night arrival... if so, i 'll be able to whisk her down to the waterfront for a free oregon symphony concert. i hear they are going to have actual live cannons for their performance of the 1812 overture. welcome to portland, mom! boom!
