I'm glad you're not talking to me! The Pacific Northwest is as gloomy, or as bright, as you want it to be. 365 days a year. You choose. (P.S. the summers here can't be beat!)

summers are what i'm looking forward to the most! it was 93 in NC today, which is TOO HOT! (especially for someone driving an old black car with busted A/C.)

The worst thing I can think of to say about Portland is that the Church of Elvis no longer physically exists there as a space you can visit. And I've heard the summers in the Pacific Northwest are beautiful.

Just remember: "Willamette" rhymes with "dammit."

It is beautiful in the PACNW.
Rain bedamned.
And anyway, the 4 years I lived in Lexington KY they had MORE rain than Seattle each year, so don't let the BAD RAP on the rain out there get you.

When I was moving to Atlanta, 100% of the people would respond "OOO HOTLANTA!"

I'm like.......what?

Now I've learned that we locals just say "the ATL"

Maybe you can say "THE PTL" oh wait, that one is taken......"

that's funny, I was just thinking how nice it will be for you to live someplace with mild weather! I could do without the sun glaring at me relentlessly for months on end, you know?

And I was just thinking that many of my favorite bands live in Portland and never ever tour the east coast, so you'll be able to see lots of good shows. Portland rules!
