farmer's market (and other sexy things)
i stayed in last night (first night in a while) and worked on getting the second bedroom into shape. it's getting close. soon i'll feel good about posting photos of my apartment.
today i found the farmer's market:
that's my neighborhood farmer's market, anyway. there are several in the portland area. this one was jam-packed, and had live music. and good coffee.
from there i *walked* to trader joe's and stocked up on things i don't really need.
later in the afternoon i *walked* to get a pedicure, then *walked* to the grocery store to pick up some ingredients for a dish i'm taking to a potluck tomorrow.
tonight my friend amy is taking me to a... *ahem*... sex toy party. kind of like a tupperware party, i think. but different. very different. it should be interesting.
tomorrow afternoon is the aforementioned potluck, and then tomorrow night my friend todd (the tile maker) and i are going downtown to the bite of oregon to eat and see patti smith.
i am not bored.

I would have loved to have seen the drum corps competition...
so what's the plan for the second bedroom-- a guest/office sort of thing?
I went to one of those sex toy parties. I even hosted one, once. Dude, we got so many free things we didn't know what to do. Who knew our friends were such pervos?
We had a couples party, and served lots of booze. It was sort of shocking the stuff people ADMITTED benig into after having a few....

the 2nd bedroom will function as a kind of sitting/knitting/music room. when guests come i'll give them the option of sleeping on a air mattress in that room, or on the sofa bed in the living room. (both are surprisingly comfortable.)
that 2nd bedroom is really too small to keep a bed in there unless i'm going to be using it as a bedroom full-time.
though if i have a lot of out of town guests (hint hint) then perhaps i'll consider purchasing something more permanent.

i remember that party! that was, like, 15 years ago, wasn't it?
I love your pictures. Those-what are they-potatoes-beets-radishes-root vegetable make for a very cool shot. Great color and texture. If they were on Flickr I could fav them. :) Girl, you're getting in bunches of walking! That's like free exercise! Woot! :)
